DISABILITY CONCERNS
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 is a statute enacted by the government of Ontario for the purpose of improving accessibility standards for Ontarians with physical and mental disabilities to all public establishments.
In response to this Act our church has put in place a policy committed to giving people with disabilities the same opportunity to access its programs and ministries in the same place, and in the same way, as do people without disabilities.
Further, our church will make readily available information regarding the Act and this policy, and it will provide appropriate training to all employees, ministry leaders and volunteers, and others, who deal with the public.
A feedback form is also available for people with disabilities, or their support person, to provide comments, questions, concerns or complaints.
